The downside, however, limited stability, which reaches its limits in the event of strong vibrations. We also noticed that cable noises occur, as soon as the fabric covering comes into contact with the body or clothing. On the other hand, the integrated magnetic clasp is practical; so that the earphones can be worn around the neck like a chain when not in use, and storage is not necessary.
On the energy side, the FWD-01 allows a runtime of a good 16 hours in practice and at a higher volume, which makes them extremely durable. It also remarkable that the in-ears are fully recharged in less than an hour via USB-C connection. The LED of the handset gives a “green light” after only a few minutes, but signals too early that the battery charged. In this context, the lack of operating instructions also seems to be worthy of criticism. An incomplete information about the range of functions can only find in the how-to guides on the support page and in an extremely minimalist Quick Start Guide, which is included with the listeners.
Device control
The sports listeners support the Bluetooth standard 5.0 and, in conjunction with various iOS and Android devices, offered stable ranges of ten meters within an urban development. Pairing is done by holding down the central remote button, which turns the system on and puts it in pairing mode. While the buttons on the left and right are used for volume control, the middle multifunction button controls both the play / stop function and the answering and ending of calls that can be made with good speech intelligibility.

Sound
The bass foundation of the in-ears looks slim and does not extend very far into the low frequencies; but it well defined and shows with a direct response. Vocals and lead instruments staged to take up space; while the highs show a pronounced presence and do not drop noticeably. However, the upper-frequency range has a certain imbalance, exaggerates sibilants, and tends to be hard. Overall, the sound is extremely clear and has a bright embossing, but cannot meet higher demands; especially since the support of high-quality audio codecs has been dispensed with.
It is a good solution that the output offers reserves; since these can use with a noisy background backdrop due to the low shielding. It can be felt as a design-related disadvantage that the listeners are not particularly suitable for pushing when doing sports; since the external perception seems too high for this. In this respect, I see the primary area of application less for energy-consuming units in the gym; but for endurance training outdoors.
App connection
Thanks to the free Adidas Headphones app, the listeners can update and personalized.
